The Bible says in Psalms 37:23, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way”.
These steps began early in the life of Dr. Terence P. Rhone. This anointed man of God was saved at the age of nine and has been preaching since the age of 16. In 1986, Dr. Rhone was ordained by Bishop Charles E. Blake. Dr. Rhone served as the President of the State Youth Department of the Church of God in Christ, Inc., Southern California First Jurisdiction from 1996 to 2009.
Dr. Rhone served for many years as the Assistant Pastor at New Gethsemane Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Dr. Raymond E. Watts. In July 2002, Dr. Rhone was appointed as the Pastor of the Mt. Sinai Church of God in Christ in Pomona, California by Bishop Charles E. Blake.
Pastor Rhone graduated Cum Laude from Oral Roberts University in 1986, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. In addition, he obtained his medical degree from the Western University of Health Sciences in 1990. He completed an internal medicine residency at USC Los Angeles County Medical Center in 1994 and completed sub-specialty training in pulmonary and critical care medicine in 1997. Dr. Rhone is board certified in the disciplines of internal medicine and lung disease. He currently practices in Downey, California as an internist and a specialist in lung disease and critical medicine
Dr. Rhone’s commitment to missions began long before his episcopal appointment. From 2004 to 2012, he faithfully served as the AIM Chairman for the First Jurisdiction of Brazil COGIC, laying the groundwork for a legacy of impactful ministry across continents. During these years, God used him to provide medical mission support in over three different continents, touching countless lives with the love of Christ. On November 11, 2012, God elevated Dr. Rhone to the sacred office of Bishop over the Jurisdiction of Brazil COGIC, where he continued to serve with passion and dedication. His influence expanded even further as he was appointed as the Director of Medical Missions for the COGIC World Missions Department, leading global efforts to bring healing and salvation. Then, in 2025, God, in His divine providence, elevated Bishop Rhone to the esteemed position of President of COGIC World Missions, where he now leads with vision, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to minister to the whole man, body, soul, and spirit as he carries the Gospel to the nations!
Bishop Rhone is married to Mrs. Elizabeth Rhone and is the proud father of three children: Bethany (Elder Carl Sims), Samuel and Joel. He is also the loving grandfather of Lydia, Jehiel & Josiah Sims
